Amalfi Lemon Experience – From Sorrento
On the Amalfi coast lemons are a key element of the local culture and paint the landscape with beautiful hues of yellows and greens. Over the centuries, locals built terraces on the cliffs to cultivate this precious fruit and developed special recipes and products. The tour starts in the lemon grows of the Valley of the Mills to learn the secrets behind the “sfusato”, a special variety of lemon that grows only here. You will meet the Aceto family, who’s been cultivating lemons for generations and will show you their laboratory. Here you will learn how lemons are harvested and what kind of products you can create with them, starting from Limoncello. There will be also time to relax on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and snack on a delicious lemon pie to wash down with a refreshing homemade lemonade.
